Verona - Donald J. Dreger, age 54, of 7171 Midtown Road, died on Monday, March 1, 1993 at Meriter-Park Hospital. He was born February 5, 1939 in Madison, Wisconsin to Burton and Lula Dreger. He was married to the former Phyllis Urben, October 22, 1960. After graduating in 1957, Don went into the Army and then the Reserves. He also farmed with his dad, Burton, for many years and was an area truck driver. He went into partnership with his son, Michael in 1980. He was active in the Verona FFA Alumni, Snowmobile Safety Instructor for the DNR, Officer of the Verona Sugar River Snowmobile Club, Dane County Council of Snowmobile Clubs, Verona Betterment member, and the Wisconsin Corn Growers Association. Survivors include his wife, Phyllis; a son, Michael D. (Mary C.) Dreger, of Verona; two daughters, Brenda M. Dreger, of Verona, and Mrs. Rhonda J. (Thomas) Pritchett, of Plover, Wisconsin; two grandchildren, Jeffrey and Steven Pritchett; and a brother, Eugene (Dorothy) Dreger of Verona. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held at the Joyce-Verona Funeral Home, 118 N. Franklin Street, at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 4, 1993. The Reverend Curtis Everson will officiate with burial in the Verona cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 3, 1993 at the funeral home. The family asks that flowers please be omitted and a memorial fund will be established at a later date.
