George Post, son of Christopher Post and Margret (Margaret) Bergen, married Anna Groom before 1795. They removed from New Jersey with two children, Margaret and John George Post, to the west side of Owasco Lake in present-day Fleming to join George's parents who had settled there in 1796. George purchased 50 acres with a cabin from Lucas Brinkerhoff. This was the property occupied by Christopher G. Post in 1875 just south of present day Fay's Point on Owasco Lake. Four additional children were born at Owasco Lake: Maria G., Lucena, Christopher G., and Anna Post.
