Julian M. Wildes ,70, died Wednesday morning at the Charlton County hospital .

A native of Folkston but lived in Camden County for a number of years before returning to Folkston in 1987 .

He retired in 1987 as a refiner engineer with Gilman Paper in St. Mary's after 30 years of service . He was a Deacon of First Baptist Church of Folkston and was in the US Navy during World War 2 .

His parents were the late James Max Wildes and Katelyn Altman Wildes .

Survivors include his wife Doris Lewis Wildes and a daughter and two sons:
Linda Wildes Lee of Folkston
Floyd Clifford Wildes of Albany
Rev. Ronald Phillip Wildes of Sharpsburg, Ga.

two sisters and a brother :
Gertrude Johnson of Folkston
Adeline Reynolds of St. Marys
Lawrence Wildes of Riverdale ..

Funeral service will be held Friday at 2 pm at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Gene McCullough and the Rev. David Lundin conducting his service following burial into Pineview Cemetery ...
