Edward was buried at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery on 04 Jul 1938.
After his death, his elderly mother remained at their home in Golden Eagle until November of 1938. She died in St. Louis not long after going there to take care of Edward's brother, Charles, who had been in an automobile accident.

Edward's birth date on his Missouri death certificate was listed as 25 Mar 1867. However, this conflicts with his older sister's birth date, and with census records. Unable to locate any individual marker for Edward's grave.
