GOODWIN, Verny C., age 85, of 124 Virginia Ave., Germantown, O., passed away Wednesday at Middletown Hospital. He was a retired employee of Armco Steel of Middletown and a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Germantown. He is survived by his wife, Olive; 1 daughter, Mrs. Murrelle (Viola) Boyer of Germantown; 3 sons, Virgil of Middletown, Herbert of Rushsylvania, O., Martin of Dillsboro, Ind.; 1 brother, Artamus Goodwin of Kansas City; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren. Funeral services Saturday 10:30 a.m. at the John A. Arpp Funeral Home, Germantown, O., Rev. Mark Williams officiating. Burial Germantown Cemetery. Visitation Friday 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Family suggest friends may make contributions to United Church of Christ Memorial Fund of Germantown Rescue Squad.
