MOORE – Entered into rest at Vernon, N.Y., Thursday April 28, 1932, Mrs. Margaret Moore, widow of Thomas J. Moore, in her 77th year.
Funeral services will be held at her late home Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock, E.S.T Interment will be in Vernon Cemetery.

Mrs. Margaret Moore dies at her home
Vernon, April 28 – Mrs. Margaret Moore, 76, widow of Thomas J. Moore passed away at 5 o’clock this morning at her home on Seneca Street, following an illness of 10 weeks.
Margaret Freeley was born in Germany August 14, 1855, daughter of the late Conrad and Catherine Crossway Freeley. When eight years of age she came to this country with her parents who located at Holland Patent. She was twice married; her first husband was Jefferson Douglas. Sometime after his death she was married to Mr. Moore on October 12, 1887. They made their home in Remsen and Newport until coming here 25 years ago.
Mrs. Moore was a member of the Methodists Church, Iuka Rebekah Lodge; of a friendly nature she did many acts of kindness for neighbors and friends.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. G. B. Mack, Port Huron, Mich.; Mrs. J. C. Moore, Mrs. J. W. Lynch, Utica; one son, Walter S. at home; one sister, Mrs. Mary Starring and one brother, Adam J. Freeley, Utica; also a number of step-children.
Funeral services will be held at her late home Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock. Arrangements in charge of C. W. Kitson, undertaker. Interment in Vernon Cemetery.

Vernon, April 30, 1932 – Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Moore were held at the home this afternoon and were largely attended, member of Iuka Rebekah Lodge bring seated in a body. Rev. W. H. Bradley, pastor of the M. E. Church officiated. In addition to the numerous floral offerings from relatives and friends were pieces from O. C. L., Sherrill, Iuka Rebekah Lodge and M. E. Church.
Acting as bearers were Edward Starring, Albert Grant, Harry Cooley and J. C. Moore, all relatives of Utica. Interment was made in the local cemetery.Margareta was born in Eusserthal, Pfalz, Bayern, Germany, daughter of Conradi (Fröehlich) and Evam Catharinam (Kreuzweg) Crossway Freeley. Upon arrival in America, their name somehow became Freeley.
Margareta was first married to Samuel Jefferson Douglass, Sr. He died May 17, 1884, they had 3 children, Samuel, Jr., Mary Ellen and Florence G. Douglas. she was step mother to Susan E.and Abby R Douglas.
In Boonville, Oneida County, New York on October 12, 1887, she married Thomas Joseph Moore, Sr.
