NORMAN ASH
A sad Case Died at Folly Island, on the 3rd inst., of camp fever, Norman Ash, aged 19 years.
Died at Vernon on the 18th inst., of the same disease, James H. Collins, aged 24 year.
Young Ash and James H. Collins were half brother, resided in the town of Vernon and enlisted in Capt. Buchanan's Co. of the 117the Reg. Robert Ash, father of Norman, is in the 146th Regiment, and is now lying very sick in the hospital. Young Ash and Collins enlisted into the service of their country in the hour of its greatest trail and they have fallen, not upon the battle field, but victims to the miasma, of Southern swamps - and yet, Governor Seymour would _pause, rather than furnish assistance to those who are now in the field, struggling against the rebels and disease.
