Greenwood (Indiana) - Word has been received here of the death of William Alfred Ward of Stilesville rout1. He died Tuesday in Putnam county hospital. Death was caused by a heart attack which struck him suddenly.

The 62 year-old native of Greenwood was born 21 Sep 1901, and the son of James W. R. and Ethel Belk Ward

He is the husband of Stella Ward. Surviving children include, P, Edgar, William Jr., John, Carl, Oscar, James, Raymond, Kay, Carolyn and Opal Ward at home, Louise Parks, Barbara Wiltermood and Marian Lawson.

Also surviving are four sisters, Mrs. Zada Melton of Greenwood, Mrs. Mary Sarn of Chicago, Mrs. Florence Ricketts of Indianapolis and Mrs. Janette Davis of Indianapolis; two brothers James Ward of Greenwood and Arleigh Ward of Mason City, Iowa and 33 grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at the Harvey funeral home in Mooresville Friday at 2 p.m. Burial will be at Mt. Pleasant cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday evening, Thursday and Friday.
