She was born on May 22, 1931 in Massena Center, the daughter of Melvin and Lillian Clement Kirkey. She attended Massena area schools. She was married to James Keese.
Surviving are her husband; eight children: Mrs. Judy LaRose, R.D. Hopkinton; Mrs. Rosalie Haggart, Georgetown; James, Great Bend; Curtis, Star Route; Wesley of Great Bend; Barry Karen and Kimberly, all at home; her mother, Mrs. Lillian Kirkey of Potsdam and four grandchildren.
Burial was made in St. Mary's Cemetery in Brushton.
