Daniel F. Allvord
Daniel F. Allvord, 82, of Prospect Park, formerly of Gordon, died on Monday evening at Fair Acres Farm, at Chester. He had been hospitalized for four weeks.
A resident of Prospect Park for six years, he was a native of Gowen City, born on August 2, 1882, a son of the late George and Sarah Allvord.
He had formerly been employed at the Reading Railroad shops at Gordon.
Surviving are his wife, the former Nellie Patten; seven children: George F, of Chester, Mrs. John Hartung, of St. Charles, Missouri, Ray David, of Grace Park, Pa, Mrs. Charles Reed, of Wernersville, Mrs. Carrie Jack, of Harrington, Del.; Thomas, of Bridgeport, NJ, Ralph M. of Newport News, VA; 16 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, William and a sister Mrs. Mae Tesno, both of Harrisburg.
Funeral arrangements will be announced on completion by Kull Funeral Home at Ashland.
