She and her late husband of 59 years, Col. Leo Emil Schulten, U.S. Army, (Ret.), came to Falls Church, VA in 1966. She was a graduate of Wellesley College, was an accomplished pianist, and taught preschoolers. She was also preceded in death by two daughters, Nancy Lee in 1943 and Theresa Harbo in 2000. Survivors include sons, Thomas Schulten of Maryland and Stephen Schulten of New Hampshire; brother, Robert Brewer of Virginia; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
