MILLEDGEVILLE - Thomas Taft Newman, 88, retired carpenter and contractor, died of complications of an aneurysm Saturday at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Milledgeville United Methodist Church, where he was a member, with burial in Milledgeville Cemetery. Shackelford Funeral Home in Savannah has charge. He was a member of Saltillo Masonic Lodge. Mr. Newman, the husband of Cordie Meek Newman, also leaves a brother, Curtis Newman of Milledgeville.
