John A. Mundy, 85,1104 S. Plate St., died at 6:20 a.m. Tuesday, Oct 13, 1987, in St. Joseph Hospital A Health Center.
He was born June 29, 1902, in McLeansboro, 111., a son of George and Annie (Trout) Mundy.
Mundy was retired from Continental Steel Corp.
Nov. 30,1923, he married Bessie Acord, who survives with four sons, John B. Mundy of Fairmount, Cecil E. Mundy of Roann, Elmer Ray Mundy and Carrol N. Mundy, both of Kokomo; a daughter, Velma Mae Cestare of
Modesto, Calif.; two brothers, Charles E. Mundy of Kokomo and Clyde Mundy of New Haven, 111.; 14 grandchildren and 26 greatgrandchildren.
Five sons and three sisters preceded him in death.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Hoffman-Murray Funeral Home. The Rev. Bill Meiring will officiate. Burial will be in Crown
Point Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary.
