ELLIS COLLINS JORDAN

ELLIS COLLINS JORDAN 64, of Houston, Texas, went to be with His Lord
Saturday, October 17, 2009. He was born November 25, 1944 in Houston, TX to
Woodrow and Claudia Jordan.Ellis was a Marine Corp Veteran and served in
Vietnam from 1966-1968. He lived in the Houston area all of his life working
in the heating and air conditioning business for the company that he and his
father built, Jordan & Webb. He was a faithful believer and loved
fellowshipping with others. He was a long time member of Champion Forest
Baptist Church where he attended faithfully.Ellis will be remembered for his
ever-present sense of humor and for the love of people he always had. A day
never went by where he didn't feel a need to make other people happy.He is
preceded in death by his parents Woodrow and Claudia Jordan as well as his
sister Ginger Streetman. He is survived by his loving wife that he cherished
for 44 years, Jari Jordan. He is also survived by two children and their
spouses: Jennifer and Clay Stringer and Lance and Leah Jordan. Ellis had
four special grandchildren surviving him: Kyle and Jordan Stringer, as well
as Lauren and Lexi Jordan. There are many other friends and family surviving
that he loved dearly including special cousins in Nacogdoches, TX: Joe and
Betty Biggerstaff, Angie and Phillip Cadman as well as Dovie and Phil
Carrell.Family and friends will gather for visitation at Klein Funeral Home
on Champion Forest Drive Sunday evening, October 18, 2009 from 6:00 to 8:00
p.m. Funeral services will be held Monday October 19, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at
Champion Forest Baptist Church, 15555 Stuebner Airline Road, Houston, TX
77069, with Pastor Wallace B. Cobb officiating. A graveside service will be
held Tuesday October 20, 2009 at 1:00 pm at Rocksprings Cemetery in
Nacogdoches, TX with Brother Roy Hall and Joe Biggerstaff officiating.Should
friends desire, the family suggest memorial contributions be sent to Houston
Hospice Care at www.houstonhospice.org.
