The grave marker appears to have a birth date of 04 May 1847 for Lucretia. However, all family records (and 1900)) census suggest 1856. Since her last child was born in 1900, I believe the 1856 is correct. I wonder if the 1847 was a stone-cutter's typo that was never corrected?

Find-A-Grave contributor Shelli Steedman kindly supplied the following:

OBIT:

Mrs. Lucretia Rominger, 93, died at 3:45 Friday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Addison Johnson in Hope, after a serious illness of about six weeks.

Mrs. Rominger was born in Iowa, May 4, 1857, the daughter of William and Mary Bartlow. She came to Dupont when ten years old to live with an aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Ace French. When 22 years old, she came to Hope to make her home with a cousin, Mrs. Tom Rominger. She married Charles A. Rominger on May 22, 1881 who with four children preceded her in death. She was the last charter member of Hope Baptist Church.

Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon at the Norman Funeral Home in Hope. Burial will be made at the family lot in the Moravian Cemetery. The Rev. James Cox was in charge.

Survivors, besides Mrs. Johnson, are two sons, Clifford Rominger of Greensburg and Robert Rominger of Madison; 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
