Lincoln, Ill., June 25--
G. Edward Meister, 54, of Mt. Pulaski, dropped dead while walking in a field near his home at 5 o'clock Tuesday evening. Death was caused by heart trouble, thought to have been climaxed by over-exertion. He had returned to his home only a week ago after being a patient in the hospital here. Edward Meiser was born in Mt. Pulaski township, Sept. 9, 1875, and was 54 years old.

He was joined in marriage to Mertice Wascar in Mt. Pulaski, in 1902, and she survives with the following children; Mrs. Helen Fuhrer, Mt. Pulaski; Harold Meister, Lincoln; Floyd, Ralph and Marie Meister of Mt. Pulaski. The decedent's mother, Mrs. Henry Meister, sr., and following brothers and sisters also survive; Mrs. Harry Duff, Illiopolis; Mrs. George Doors, Mrs. John Beggs, and Henry, Elmer and George Meister, all of Mt. Pulaski.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:30 o'clock at the St. John's Lutheran church of Mt. Pulaski, of which Meister was a member. Services will be conducted by Rev. Mr. King. Burial will be in Mt. Pulaski cemetery.
