Abraham Ives was born in the state of Connecticut and was a farmer most of his life.he was also a stone mason. He was married in the state of CT, he & his Eunice Hull had 5 daughters & 4 sons. His children were as follows: Clarrissa the oldest daughter married Ozias Bush, Fannie married twice 1st to Simon Trask & then to Ozias Bush(widow of her eldest sister. Eunice married Abijah Cornwell, Mariab married Stephen Yale & they had 1 daughter Elam. Abraham's eldest son Samuel was the 1st to relocate to New York, The other son's Lyman, Elias & Abraham also followed. In 1796 Abraham went west to New York settling on what is now known as the Ives Settement.
