Man is Killed in Henderson
Motor Collision Fatal to Cleon S. Blades, 25, of Louisiana

Henderson, Ky., July 5 – Cleon S. Blades, 25 years old, of Kentwood, La., was fatally injured at 10 o'clock this morning in an automobile accident at the intersection of Tenth and Green Streets. He died in the Henderson Hospital at noon.
According to police, blades was riding in an automobile driven by Earl L. Lochridge, newspaper distributor, by whom he was employed. As the machine entered the street intersection another car driven by Harvey Powell collided with it. Witnesses said Blades, seeing an accident was imminent, stepped from his car and was struck by the Powell machine before the two cars crashed. Blades' neck was broken, hospital attendants said.
Powell and Lochridge were slated by police on a charge of reckless driving pending the outcome of an investigation tomorrow morning by Coroner J. C. Crawley. Blades had been in Henderson only two days, police said.
