Berniece Green Teeples, 73, died Sunday at her home following an illness.
She was born May 25, 1906 at McCammon to Daniel Milton and Ella Clark Green. She graduated from McCammon High School on Mary 22, 1925, where she had been a good student and enjoyed school. As a young girl she enjoyed nature and spent hours riding horses.
She married Rulon B. Teeples June 3, 1925 in the Logan LDS Temple. They moved to Pocatello where they made their home. During 1928 they lived in Cheyenne and Laramie, Wyoming.
She was an active member of the Pocatello Fourth LDS Ward, having served in the Primary and Relief Society presidencies. She also held many other positions in the church and was always willing to help people.
During the last 25 years she has been an avid sports fan, watching sports on TV and attending most ISU basketball games. She purchased the same reserved seats every year. She also enjoyed traveling. She traveled most of the United States and during her later years enjoyed short fishing trips. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and was considered an expert.
Survivors include her husband of Pocatello; two sons, Vernon, Pocatello, and Kenneth Loyd, Junction City, Kansas; a daughter, Marlene Rossiter, Pocatello; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three brothers, Clark Green, Pocatello; Phil Green, McCammon, and Wendell Green, Helena, Montana; two sisters, Violet Rothwell, Pocatello, and Sarah Parrish, San Jose, California. She was preceded in death by a sister, Rose, and a brother, Harold.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the LDS Eighth Ward Chapel with Bishop Theodore Panter officiating. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
