On July 7, 1934, she married Morse Mac McOscar, who preceded her in death on May 20, 1950. A 1925 graduate of Liberty Center High School, Helen worked for 50 years as a secretary and bookkeeper in offices in Liberty Center, Fremont, Pittsburgh and Napoleon. She retired in 1984 after 20 years with the McCully Egg Co. in Liberty Center. She was a member of the Liberty Center United Methodist Church, a 67-year member and Past Worthy Matron of the Pacific Chapter, Order of Eastern Star 68; a 65-year member and Past President of American Legion Auxiliary Post 300, Napoleon; a 39-year member of Napoleon Elks Lodge 929; and a lifetime member of the Liberty Center Historical Society Inc.
Those left to cherish her memory include a daughter, Mary (Jack) Hill, Liberty Center; son, Joseph (Linda) McOscar, Napoleon; sisters, Olive Keeler, Bay City, Mich. and Lucille McGary of Liberty Center; grandchildren, Mark (Laura) and Randy (Patty) Hill, both of Napoleon; Brad (Joan) Hill, Kansas, Spencer (Lori) and Stephanie McOscar, all of Napoleon; and great-grandchildren, Nick (Emily), Jenna, Andrew, Anna, Jake and Dan Hill, Spencer Jr. and Christina McOscar.
She was also preceded in death by a sister, Gertrude Crawford; brothers, Charley, Ray and Dale Murdock; and grandchildren, Joseph and Hillary McOscar.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Friday, October 27, 2006, in Liberty Center United Methodist Church with Pastor David MacDonald presiding.
