She was a retired bookkeeper with the Board of Education in Ben Hill and Irwin Counties and a former employee of the Irwin County Tax Commissioners office. Mrs. Stone was a Pink Lady at Dorminy Medical Center, a member of the Young at Heart, the AARP, a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star and an avid traveler. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Fitzgerald and the Phoebean Sunday School Class.
