Juanita Lavell Gage, 56, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, went home to be with our heavenly father on Saturday morning, Sept. 26, 2009.
She was born June 21, 1953, Obion Tenn. to Robert Vernon and Clara Mae Allen.
In 1959, her family relocated to the Blythe area from Tennessee. Juanita spent her childhood years growing up in Blythe and attended Blythe area schools.
Juanita spent most of her adult life as a waitress, restaurant manager, and a homemaker. She married the love of her life, Bobby Gene Gage Sr., her husband of 25 years on Sept. 29, 1984. Together they raised her three children from a previous marriage.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, children and grandchildren. She loved to fish and to go boating on the river and travel to new and exciting places. She looked forward to going shopping especially during the holiday season.
Juanita was a member of the Zion Lutheran church. She was the type of person that would do anything in her power to help those that were less fortunate than her. She couldn't stand to see anybody going hungry and would do without herself so that she could help others. She supported various local and worldwide charities.
She is survived by her husband Bobby of Blythe; sons, Gary Morgan Jr. of Riverdale, Utah, Rodney Morgan and wife Rochelle of Utah, and daughter Shellie Barney and husband Brody of Midvale, Utah.
Juanita also leaves behind eight grandchildren, Aaron, Zachary, Shelby, Autumn, Austin, Megan, Ethan, Leah, and Dakota, in addition to her five siblings, Shirley Combs of Brainerd, Minn.; Gary Allen of Corona, Calif.; Rick Allen of Costa Mesa, Calif.; Lasonda Boyens of Blythe, Calif.; and Devonda Cormell of Blythe, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Raymond Allen, in 1995, sister, Martha Clements, in 2002, and mother, Clara Mae Allen, in 2005.
Services will be held at Frye Chapel in Blythe, Calif. on Oct. 2, 2009 at 11 a.m. and a graveside service will follow.
