Gottfrid Gustavsson

Johan Gottfrid Gustvsson was born the youngest child of five to Farmer Gustav Jönsson and his wife Inger-Lena Olsdotter. Two of his siblings died before reaching adulthood and one sister died at age 17.
Gottfrid grew up on his fathers farm in Skenabygget and went on to buy his own farm in Svenshult, close to his parents. He married Signe Augustsdotter from Edenberga in Ränneslöv Parish on April 1st 1912. The following year they had their first child, a boy they named Gösta. They had two more children, Erik in 1915 and Knut in 1920.
Gottfrid was more than just a farmer, he also worked in the church as a church warden and was honored with a medal for his long and faithful service to the church.
Gottfrid retired from farming and sold the farm to his son Erik. Gottfrid and Signe moved to a house near the farm and Gottfrid started helping his youngest son in his construction company.
Gottfrid died at Halmstad hospital from cancer on January 23, 1968 he was 79 years old.
