Norma Delozier Darby, 86, passed into the loving arms of her Savior on Friday, October 16, 2009.
She is survived by her husband of sixty-six years, Jettie R. Darby; four children, Nancy (Jim) Seagrove, Carol Darby, Peggy (Tony) Kesterson, Ron (Rhonda) Darby; five grandchildren, Alisa Stipanov, Valerie Miller, William Kelley, Kristin Coverly, and Glenn Darby; and nine great-grandchildren.
Norma worked for a number of years as a dental assistant for Dr. Larry Hamby. She was known for her crafting abilities, artistry, varied interest and her multiple collections. She was a member of Covenant Baptist Church.
She was dearly loved and will be sadly missed, but remembered for her love of life and the happiness she brought to others. It was a privilege for her family to minister to her during this time of sickness. A special thanks to Hospice of Chattanooga for all they did to help us through this time of loss
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the building fund of Covenant Baptist Church or Hospice of Chattanooga.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM on Saturday at the funeral home.
Funeral Services will be at 2 PM on Sunday, October 18, 2009 at the funeral home with Rev. Bob Patty officiating. Burial will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens, Hixson, TN.
Arrangements are by the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory, and Florist. 404 South Moore Road.
