Fay Emma Bingham Sorensen, formerly Fay Richards, age 72, died Saturday, April 1, 1995 in St. George.

She was born November 22, 1922 in View, Idaho to Ezra and Mary Elizabeth Wood Bingham.

She married Howard Alma Sorensen, November 25, 1986 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
Originally from Burley, Idaho, Mrs. Sorensen lived in Salt Lake City most of her life, where she worked for the Utah State Board of Education. She was an active member of the LDS Church.

Survived by her husband, of St. George; children, Dale (Woody) Snider, and Michelle (Mel) Brock, both of Salt Lake City; Ann (Greg) Phillips, of Vancouver, Wash.; Lee Allen Richards and Michael Brent (Connie) Richards, both of Salt Lake; Deborah Igel, of Cypress, Calif.; Laurinda (Ernie) Tidmore, of Guntersville, Al.; Gordon Sorensen, of Seattle, Wash.; 20 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, four brothers, Duane Bingham, of Sacramento, Calif.; Dee Rex Bingham, Gale Bingham and Keith Bingham, all of Burley, Idaho.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 5, 1995, 11 a.m. at the Morningside LDS 2nd Ward Chapel, 900 South 700 East in St. George. Friends may call on Tuesday evening from 7-8 p.m. at the Metcalf Mortuary, 300 West St. George Blvd., and on Wednesday at the chapel from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to services.

Interment, St. George City Cemetery under the direction of the Metcalf Mortuary.
