Mrs. Mary Ahart, 89, widow of Daniel Ahart, Sr., died Wednesday afternoon at Mercy Rehabilitation Center, Auburn, after a long illness.
Mrs. Ahart was born in Oswego, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Nichols. She spent most of her life here, formerly residing at 71 Liberty St. Her husband died in 1960. She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church.
Surviving are nine sons, Daniel, Jr. of Auburn, Harold of St. Paul, Minn., Robert of Minneapolis, Minn., and Ralph, Leonard, Charles, Lawrence, Willard, and Neil, all of Oswego; a daughter, Mrs. Joseph (Mary) Lawler of Auburn; 25 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
Services will be Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at the Connell Funeral Home and at 10 in St. Mary's Church with Spring burial.
Calling hours are 7 to 9 tonight and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Memorial Fund.
