Helen L. Pelton Ahart, 76, of Simeon-DeWitt Apartments, Oswego, died Friday at St. Luke Health Services in Oswego. Born in Oswego, she attended Oswego schools and was a homemaker. She was a member of Scriba Senior Citizens and Oswego Town Senior Citizens. Her husband, Charles, died in 1991.
Survivors: A daughter, Cheryl Trainor of Scotia; two sons, William of Yellville, Ark., and James of Oswego; four sisters, Jane Leader of Casey, Ill., Linda Woodard of Hannibal, Arlene Truel of Fulton and Alice DeMass of Cortland; a brother, Donald Pelton of Hannibal; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. Services: 9:30 a.m. Monday at Dowdle Funeral Home. Burial, St. Peter's Cemetery. Calling hours, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, 154 E. Fourth St., Oswego.
