Mrs. M.A. Ammons Died Today
Mrs. M.A. Ammons of 714 North A street died at 5:45 o'clock this morning. Her death was caused by tuberculosis. She had been in declining health for several years. The deceased was born October 30, 1856 in West Virginia. She died with three days of her birthday when she would have been 57 years old had she lived. Her father's name was Daniel Conway. Mrs. Ammons had a most lovable character and she was greatly admired by her numerous friends. She was a dutiful wife and a slendid mother.
Mrs. Ammons leaves besides her husband 10 children to mourn her death. Six of the children were at home when her death occurred. They were Cecil, who is attending Kansas University, Emmett, Carl, Vestis, Howard and Mrs. Stella Kemmel who is visiting here from Cincinnati, Ohio. The other boys Clarence, of Texas, Cyrus of Louisiana, Willard of Arizona and Earl who is attending the Pittsburg University have been wired and are expecting to arrive here by tomorrow. All but Clarence and Cyrus have been heard from and are on their way home. The funeral arrangements will be made later. Rev. L.M. Riley of the Methodist church, will conduct the services.
