Services for Murrell O. Paige of Colfax will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 30, 2003 at Summerfield Baptist Church, Colfax, with Rev. Frank Peacock officiating. Interment will be in the Summerfield Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Brothers, Alexandria.

Mr. Paige, 84, died in his residence Friday, Nov. 28, 2003.

Mr. Paige was a member and deacon of Summerfield Baptist Church. He was very active in his church and community. He was decorated U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Evelyn Denton Paige.

Survivors include his three daughters, Carlyn Vollm and husband, Jimmie, of Colfax, Merrill Ammons and husband, James, of Colfax and Suzan Juneau and husband, Ken, of Woodworth; one son, Murrell David Paige and wife, Nancy, of Colfax; one brother, Jerrell Paige and his wife, Sue, of Colfax; nine grandchildren, Jamie Vollm of Pittsburgh, Pa., Heather Vollm Harrell and husband, Jamie, of Monroe, Monica Vollm of Pineville, Justin Ammons and wife, Amanda, of Colfax, Jason Ammons of Montgomery, Jennifer Ammons of Colfax, Jessica Paige of Pineville, Kyle Paige of Colfax and Michael Juneau of Woodworth; six great-grandchildren; and host of friends and relatives.

Pallbearers will be Jamie Vollm, Justin Ammons, Michael Juneau, Kyle Paige, Jimmie Vollm and Mike Paige.

Honorary pallbearers will be Leo Shelton, Jason Ammons, Larry Paige, Kerry Paige and George Delong.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, 2003 and until time of service at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to Summerfield Baptist Church, 171 Summerfield Road, Colfax, La., 71417.
