---Earl Franklin Tucker died suddenly at his home near Novelty at 8:00 Friday morning, February 13.
---He was born in Elmer on November 19, 1896 and was fifty-six years old. He was the youngest of eight children of Harlan and Evelyn Tucker.
---He was married to Gayle Hunter of La Plata on January 3, 1937.
---He is survived by his wife, Gayle and a daughter, Goldie (Mrs. Van) Ketcham of Mexico; two grandchildren, Ronnie and Ann Ketcham; one sister, Mrs. Clarence Keithley of La Plata and one brother, Mern, of Gifford.
---He was united with the La Plata Baptist Church when a young man.
---Mr. and Mrs. Tucker lived in La Plata for several years in the home on Highway 63, now occupied by the Stout Realty Company.
---Funeral services were at 2:00 on Sunday at the Locust Hill Community Church with Rev. Claude Thompson officiating. Pallbearers were Harold David, Paul McEndree, Ralph Howerton, Buster Smith, Guy Murry and Ernie Snow. Burial was in the Locust Hill Cemetery.
---Those from out of town for the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Dominic Oberto and Charles of Jacksonville; Mr. and Mrs. Harold Oberto and Mr. and Mrs. Lester Amidei of Excello; Mr. and Mrs. Luther Daugherty of Moberly; Mr. and Mrs. Bernis Wood, Rex and Max of Souix City, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Keithley of Independence; Mr. and Mrs. Clyde McCollum of Rockford, Illinois; Mr. and Mrs. Paul Keithley of Columbia; Mr. and Mrs. Harley Hawkins, Jr., of Downing; Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Smith and family of Callao; Mr. and Mrs. Homer Tyler, Mr. and Mrs. Elton Richardson, Mr. and Mrs. Van Ketcham, Ronnie and Ann of Mexico, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Perry of Bevier and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Carder of Perry.
