WILLIAM H. SELF
William H. Self, 82, RD 1, Paw Paw, died Monday, June 15, at his residence.
Born in Smoke Hole, he was a son of the late Samuel and Eliza (VanMeter) Self. His wife, Laura (Judy) Self, died in 1979.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Leafie Shimp, Rockville, Md.; Mrs. Jessie Kidwell, RD 1, Paw Paw; Mrs. Anna Belle Saville, Augusta and Mrs. Norma Shank, Hagerstown; three sons, Denver Self, Potomac, Md.; Herman Self, Moorefield; and Rumsey Self, Berkeley Springs; a brother, Jack Self, Maysville; 22 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Services were conducted Thursday, June 18, at 3 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, with Elder William J. Thomas officiating. Interment was in Green Lane Cemetery, Delray.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the McKee Funeral Home.
