CHUBBUCK - Johnnie Devon Stoor, 74, passed away Sunday, June 13, 2004, at his home, with all of his family around him. He was born February 3, 1930, to Sarah Elizabeth Lewis Stoor and Mathias Emauelson Stoor, in Wayan, Idaho. He was orphaned at 10 years of age and raised by several relatives, mainly his Aunt Alice and Uncle Emil, also Bud and Elaine.

He married Allene Haglund August 4, 1957, in Grace, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple on March 15, 1963.

Johnnie was a farmer, worked for the railroad, worked the gasline and worked for FMC for 35 years. He was a volunteer for the Chubbuck Fire Department. He belonged to the Machinist Union and served in the U.S. Army during the World War II and the Korean War. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served in the high priest's group.

He is survived by his wife, Allene Haglund Stoor, Chubbuck, Idaho; his children, Caroline (Brent) Binggeli, Pocatello, Idaho, Gerrie (David) Trammell, John Darren (Kara) Stoor, all of Chubbuck, Idaho, William "Kyle" (Kandace) Stoor, Logan, Utah, Kelcie (Steven) Hall, Ogden, Utah, and a daughter-in-law, Robyn Stoor, Teton, Idaho; siblings, Farrell (Margeret) Stoor, Soda Springs, Idaho, Bette (Kenneth) Douglass, Pocatello, Idaho, and Frank "Buster" (Pat) Stoor, Wayan, Idaho; 23 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, with one more on the way. He was preceded in death by a son, Matt Leon Stoor, grandsons, Jacob Stoor and Christopher Chacon, a great-granddaughter, McKenzee May Romriell, his parents, and siblings, Wilma Stoor Bland, Lee, Louis, Robert, Bud and Max Stoor.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 17, 2004, at the LDS Eighth Ward Chapel, with Bishop Galen Adams officiating.
Burial will follow the services at Mountain View Cemetery, with military rites provided by the Pocatello Veterans Honor Guard.
