Ray Butterfield, 59, of 5321 Lucky, Chubbuck,Idaho passed away Tuesday morning, January 4, 1994, at his home following an illness.
He was born Oct. 3, 1934, at Chesterfield, the son of Leo and Ida May Call Butterfield. He was reared in Chesterfield and attended school in Bancroft. He worked on the family farm and also for neighbors in the Chesterfield area prior to moving to Pocatello in 1960.
In 1978 he married Lucille Hardy at Pocatello. She died Nov. 10, 1993.
Ray was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed working with horses.
Survivors include two brothers, Harvey Butterfield, Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Leo Butterfield, Pocatello; four sisters, Margaret Butterfield, Chubbuck, Leona Miller, Orange Grove, California, Lucille Session, Salt Lake City, Utah, and Mildred Blum, Pocatello. He was preceded in death by his parents, his twin sister and five brothers.
Funeral services were conducted on Friday, Jan. 7, 1994, at Manning Funeral Chapel. Interment was in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
