Eula May Wealand, born January 18, 1912, in Nevada, Missouri. Her parents were John and Ethel Bowman. She graduated from Nevada High School in 1930.

On May 23, 1940, she married Roy Wealand in Nowata, Oklahoma. They lived in Nevada and in 1953 moved to Cassville Missouri. Roy passed away in 1966.

She attended Vocational Technical School in Springfield, Missouri and received her LPN in 1969. She was employed at Springfield Baptist Hospital for two years. From 1969 until 1977 she was a school nurse at the School of the Ozarks, Point Lookout, Missouri. In 1977 she moved to Claremore, Oklahoma.

She married Charles Powell in 1988 and he passed away in 1995. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Mildred Bowman and Evalena Rupard and one infant brother, Harold Bowman.

She is survived by her niece, Betty Paddack and husband, Gary; nephews, John Rupard and wife, Cindi and Bill Rupard all of Holden, Missouri and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, October 16, 2009, in Oak Hill Cemetery, Cassville, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville.

There will be no visitation.
