Mary Alberta Coffman, 80, Greentown, died on Jan. 9 at the ManorCare Nursing Home in Kokomo following a brief illness.
Born Feb. 18, 1921, she was the daughter of Grover Cleveland and Sarah Goldie (Coverdale) Scott.
She married Lloyd M. Coffman, who preceded her in death on April 12, 1994.
She resided in Anderson for 21 years and the Middletown area for 15 years. she lived in Muncie from 1977 until her husband's death. She then moved to Greentown.
She had worked as a nurse's aide and orderly for several years in different healthcare facilities and was a sales associate for J.C. Penney's for five years.
She was a life member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary Post in Muncie. She was past president and member of the NABA in Anderson. She was a former member of the Sulfur Springs Home Maker Club.
She was a member of the Mount Olive United Methodist Church in Muncie.
Survivors include two sons, Dennis Ray Coffman of Greentown and Danny Lee Coffman of San Antonio, Texas and three grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were two sisters, Mildred Jarrett and Flossie Wilhoite and six brothers, Archie, Merle, Fred, Glenn, Donald and Chester Scott.
Services will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the Noffze Funeral Home, 501 N. Harrison in Alexandria. The Rev. Rodney A. Eiler of the Mount Olive United Methodist Church will officiate.
Burial will follow at the Crown View Cemetery in Sheridan.
Friends may call at the funeral home between 3 and 7 p.m. Sunday.
