CLARENCE E LARGENT, JR

RIDGELEY, W.Va. ‹ Clarence E. "Junior" Largent Jr., 73, of Ridgeley, died Saturday, May 6, 2000, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland.

Born April 14, 1927, in Cumberland, he was the son of Ruth V. (DeHaven) Largent, of Ridgeley, and the late Clarence E. Largent Sr.

Mr. Largent was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a retired postal worker. He was a member of the Cumberland Moose Lodge No. 271, Cumberland Elks B.P.O.E., and the Ridgeley American Legion. He was an avid fisherman and hunter.

Surviving, in addition to his mother, are one daughter, Candace R. Meisner and husband George, Hawaii; three sons, Kevin G. Largent and wife Vivian, Tucson, Ariz., Steve C. Largent and wife Debra, Fla., and Terence K. Largent and wife Teresa, Ridgeley; two brothers, Francis M. Largent, Carpendale, and Don C. Largent, Ridgeley; and six grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Benny R. Brakeall officiating.

Interment will be in the Abe Cemetery, Short Gap.

Military honors will be accorded by the Combined Veterans Honor Guard.
