Alva Hartley Bannister, age 82, of Prattville (formerly of Oneonta), died February 21, 2006. She was a retired Insurance Coordinator w/doctors office. Worked for Dr. Gordon and Patton for 35 years. Attended Oneonta Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by parents, Terry and Clara Hartley; husband, Ralph Miles Bannister (Banty); sisters, Helen Brand and Annie Taylor; brothers, Charles, Dan and James Hartley.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, February 24, at 11 a.m. at Lemley Chapel with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery, Oneonta. Stanley Freeman officiating. Survivors: daughter, Regina (Larry) Miller of Prattville; sons, Stanley (Janet) Bannister, Roger (Ruth) Bannister, both of Oneonta, Bryan (Salette) Bannister of Bell Buckle, TN; grandsons, Jeremy (Amy) McCay, Thomas, and Nicholas Bannister, Frankie (Linda) Carden, Larry (Melissa) Carden; great grandchildren, Elizabeth and Sara Grace McCay, Jeremy, Mindy, and Jennifer Hopkins, Nathan and Candice Williams; sister, Thelma Lovell of Cummings, GA; brothers, Glenn Hartley, Sr. of Sugar Hill, GA and Don Hartley of Palmerdale; special friend, Frances Gibbs of Allgood.
