Mrs. Flees was born in East Jordan on Jan. 28, 1912, the daughter of Joseph and Annabelle (Svoboda) Nachazel. On Oct. 13, 1945 at St. Rita's Catholic Church, she married Martin E. Flees, who survives.

Mrs. Flees was a member of St. Rita's Church and St. Rita's Rosary and Altar Society. For many years she was church organist at St. Rita's. She was postal clerk at the Maple City post office for 19 years. She was devoted to her family, church and religion.

Also surviving are a daughter, Arlene Ogden of Saginaw; a son, Gary Flees of Traverse City; a sister, Winifred Jankowski of Traverse City; sisters-in-law Agnes Fleese of Detroit and Orpha (Nachazel) Deering of Empire; three grandchildren; and two great-granddaughters.

Preceding her in death were a brother, Richard Nachazel; and a grandson.
