Services for Rev. J. Walter Hall, 85, of 4314 N College, will be at 3 pm Thursday in the First Church of the Nazarene, Bethany, with burial in Bethany Cemetery directed by Bill Merritt Funeral Services. He died Monday in a local hospital.

Rev. Hall was born in Alabama and came to Oklahoma in 1918. He served as pastor in Texas and Oklahoma and was district superintendent in the Church of the Nazarene for 20 years. He was chairman of the board of Bethany Nazarene College and was a charter member of the Church of the Nazarene, Bethany.

Survivors include his wife, Bessie Marie; three daughters, Mrs. J.W. Garsee, Bethany; Mrs. Ralph Chamberlayne, London England, and Mrs. Dale R. Hall, Stillwater; three sons, Dr. E.C. Hall, Edmond; B.M. Hall Pasadena, Calif., and Rev. J. Walter Hall Jr., Blackwell; a brother, Rev. George M. Hall, Athens, Ala.
