An Oklahoman City native, Stumpff moved to Bethany in about 1922. He had been in the real estate construction and oil business for 35 years. He was a member of Lake View Park Church of the Nazarene. Stumpff and his wife had celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary last year.
Survivors include his wife, Pluma; a son, Eugene, of Yukon; seven daughters, Mrs. Darwin Feuss, San Luis Obispo, Calif.; Mrs. Jack Scott, Oklahoma City; Mrs. Ray Melrose, Bethany; Mrs. Thomas Hoskinson, Oklahoma City; Mrs. Glenn Harris, Albuquerque, N.M.; two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Smith, Buena Park, Calif., and Mrs. Matilda Evans, Oklahoma City, and brother, James H III, Anaheim Calif.
