Jeffrey was my ex husband who died of hodgkin's lymphoma. We were married for thirteen years. He served in the national guard and recieved his training in Texas. He died last year of cancer.Jeffrey Allen Hughes, 44, passed away at Angel Space on Tuesday, July 1, 2008, after a long and valiant battle with cancer.
Jeff was born on May 5, 1964, to John R. and Janet (Sorenson) Hughes Sr. in Eau Claire.
Jeff is survived by his sisters, Judie (Roger) Skifstad and Trudie (Matt) Brixen; brother, John (Peggy) Hughes Jr.; many nieces, nephews, friends and his best friend, Barney the Beagle.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Janet Hughes Sr.; brother, Patrick; and both sets of grandparents.
Visitation will be from 2:30 to 4 p.m. on Monday July 7, 2008, at Smith Funeral Chapel, where there will be a memorial service at 3 p.m. Monsignor Edmund Klimek will officiate.
Jeff would want to thank Community Health Partnership, Northwest Wisconsin HomeCare and Angel Space for all they did for him.
