LeVere Howell, 84, died Saturday evening November 15, 1980 at St. Anthony's Community Hospital.

He was born November 13, 1895 in Clifton to William "Cozey" and Carolyn Henderson Howell.

On April 8, 1918 he married LaRue Brower in Pocatello.

From 1921-1941, LeVere worked for the Union Pacific Railroad as a steel car man. In 1941 he moved to Challis where he owned and operated a pure bred Hereford ranch until he retired in 1955 due to a serious accident. In 1955 he returned to Pocatello.

LeVere was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and was ardent fisherman, hunter and rancher.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Donna Jean Peterson, both of Pocatello; two sons, Bill B Howell, Pocatello, and Larry V Howell, Poulson, Montana; a brother, S C Howell Ogden, Utah; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

He was buried in Mountain View Cemetery.
