Hansel Specht 63, 1403 Brentwood Terrace, died Sunday Oct. 24, at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center, Des Moines. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Estel-Perrin-Avey Funeral Home. The Rev. Jerald Swanberg of the First United Methodist Church wii officiate. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
The family will recive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday.. Memorials may be directed to the First United Methodist Missions through the church or to the family.
He was born Aug. 5, 1929 in Marshall County to Joseph and Bertha (Anderson) Specht. He graduated from Conrad High School in 1946.
One Spet. 18, 1964 he married Janet K. Pringle in Marshalltown and they lived in Marshalltown, where he was employed in sales at Packaging Corporation Of America from 1955 until retiring in 1986.
He was a verteran of the U.S. Navy,
He wa a member of the Frist United Methodist Church and the Marshalltown Municipal Airport Planning Board.
Survivors include his wife, Janet a daughter, Neva Jean Specht, Newark, Del.; and a brother Edwin Specht, San Diego Calif.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
