Miss Caroline Elmer, long a resident of Bridgeton, the second daughter of the late Hon. L.Q.C. Elmer, died at the home of her sister, Mrs. John T. Nixon, in Trenton this Monday morning, after a few days' illness. Miss Elmer had been living in Trenton for several years, since the sale of her property at the corner of Commerce and Bank streets, for the new post-office. In deference to her earnestly expressed wish, the funeral service will be private, a brief service being held in Trenton and the interment being in the family plot in the Broad Street Cemetery upon the arrival of the train from Camden on Thursday morning.
