Son of Benjamin H Henley and Mary J (Chambers) Henley. Benjamin and Mary J Henley are on the 1880 census report in Cooke Co, TX in the Mountain Creek area. Benjamin fought in the Civil War for state of Missouri. Benjamin Henley filed for his own pension in 1879. Then, Mary J Henley filed for Benjamin's civil war pension in 1899 from Indian Territory which proves Benjamin would have been dead by 1899 and probably died shortly before her filing. Their son Jim Henley lived in Oklahoma at the time.
