William Bryant was born in Shelbyville, Kentucky, October 18, 1815 and died at his home in Henry township, December 21, 1891. He was united in marriage with Miss Catharine ---- ran March 14, 1842, and to this union were born fourteen children, --en of who survive the father. Mr. Bryant emigrated to Wayne county, Indiana, in 1828 and to Fulton county in 1833, where he has since resided. Being a man of sterling character, rugged honesty, and possessed of considerable ability he was twice elected by the people of this county to serve as county commissioner and he always honored every trust. Although he had reached a ripe old age his death is lamented by all who knew him.
