Burial in Highland Park Cemetery was under the direction of Simpson Funeral Home.
Underwood was an employe of Phillips Petroleum Company. He had been a resident here for 19 years, and was a member of Bunavista Church of Christ. He died at 11 p.m. Saturday in North Plains Hospital.
Surviving are his wife, Irene, 4155 Fourth, Philview; four sons, Darryl Wayne, Jimmy Dean, Lee Allan of the home, and Jess Franks of Farmington, N.M.; two daughters, Darlene of the home, Mrs. Jerry McCarty of Texline; his mother, Mrs. Nora Underwood of Clovis, N.M.
Also three sisters, Mrs. E.B. Toling, Mrs. H.C. Willis, both of Amarillo, Mrs. Ben Addington, of Clovis; a brother, Wayne of Amarillo, and four grandchildren.
Casketbearers were W.A. Blakeney, W.O. Johnston, R.A. Sharpe, John Thompson, Bud Baker, Cam Moore.
