W. R. Chapman Buried at Niantic
Services for well known citizen held on Saturday
Niantic, Jan. 8--
The funeral of W. R Chapman, who has lingered for ten weeks, and who died Friday, occurred Saturday at 2 p.m., from the M.E. Church, Rev. Pierce officiating. Mr. Chapman was nearly 74 years of age, and was a native of Morgan county, near Jacksonville. He was married in 1853, to Angeline McComb, near Rushville, Ill. His aged wife and four children survive. He leaves four brothers, three sisters and an adopted son. The pall bearers were Henry Candle, W. H. Thompson, John Clark, Henry Shrader, Wm. Hignite.
Many beautiful flowers were offered as tributes to the dead man. Mrs. Chapman and family have the sympathy of all.
