Bennie D. Williamson, 76, of Champaign passed away on Friday (Oct. 9, 2009) at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
He was born Sept. 26, 1933, to Vernon and Muriel Brooks-Williamson. He married Mary Wolf in Fisher, Il. on Sept. 2, 1960. She passed away in 1995.
He is survived by two sons, Chris Williamson of Chillicothe, Il. and Gary Williamson of Champaign; one daughter, Sheri Williamson of Champaign; six grandchildren, Erik, Nathan, Abigail, Lillianna, Layla and Gracen; one brother, Charles Williamson of Washington state and two sisters, Barbara Stone of Ontario, Canada, and Marjorie Pratt of Champaign.
He served the U.S. Army.
