Clarence Cosby died of injuries suffered in car-tractor mishap.
---Clarence Cosby, 62, of Atlanta rural route, passed away at the Grim-Smith hospital in Kirksville at 2:45 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 30, from injuries suffered as a result of a car-tractor accident.
---He was born February 18, 1900, in Macon county, the son of Willie and Lucy McDaniel Cosby. He is survived by his wife, Ruby of Kirksville; a son, Clifford, Moulton, Iowa, and a daughter-in-law, Phyllis and Mrs. Mildred Jenkins of the home; two foster daughters, Mrs. Geraldine Cockrum of Atlanta and Mrs. Helena Mulvaney of Independence, Iowa; one brother, Willis of South Bend, Ind., and two sisters, Mrs. Eva Givens of Macon and Mrs. Effie Wilson of Excello and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and an infant son.
---Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, at the Elmer Baptist church with Rev. Roy Walker officiating. Burial was in Elmer cemetery under direction of the Goodding Funeral Home of Atlanta.
